MapRT gives you the control you need to apply non-coplanar treatments more effectively and with greater confidence.
MapRT helps make treatments faster, easier, and safer. It uses SGRT technology to provide a "collision map" that designers use to check which radiation fields are applicable when creating the treatment plan.
This is especially important for non-coplanar VMAT plans, which are gaining popularity due to their ability to reduce dose to critical organs.
MapRT visualizes the entire surface of the patient and immobilization devices to detect collisions in the most common problematic areas, such as elbows. Additionally, the distance map ensures safety for all bed and gantry angles, providing guidance in the design process to increase bed angles and extend arcs for better treatment plans.

A recent study showed improved assessment of deliverability using MapRT. Standard planning methods missed 11% of potential collisions and identified only 64% of clear beams/arcs. With MapRT 0% of potential collisions were missed and 100% of clear beams/arcs were identified.
